If you could get your exercise by taking a pill, would you? Why or why not?
Presented by Intel, Sponsors of Tomorrow.Of course. Who has time and money to go to the gym every day? I've got my kids to raise and school, that takes pretty much all of my time and what isn't taken up doesn't fit the community center's unflexible schedule.
What would you like written on your tombstone?
Gone home.
I am so sick and tired of the slant the media puts on stuff. It's easy to see why the people in this country who can't think for themselves fall for stupid crap.
By now, everyone in this country has probably heard of the church shooting that took place the other day. This dude, who we think is probably has mental problems due to Lyme disease (a fact it sounds like his family has known for at least a year), went into a church and shot the pastor dead in front of the congregation.
I am in no way condoning what happened here. And I think that if the family knew he was mentally handicapped that most certainly, they should have made sure he didn't have access to guns.
BUT tonight on the news, the anchor lady pissed me off when she said that when police searched this guy's home they found that he had "QUITE an arsenal." She put some pretty good emphasis on that phrase, especially on "quite." She then proceeds to say that the guy had, and I quote, "two shotguns, a rifle, and a box of bullets."
WTF?
THAT is QUITE an arsenal? QUITE an arsenal?
Uh, it's 3 guns and a "box" of bullets which could be as few as like 20 or 12 or something.
Which just brings me to go on a rant about how having a gun does not make you crazy. It doesn't help those who are already crazy, but that in itself does not make you crazy.
It's crap like that that makes the morons who can't think for themselves go hmmm uhhh well shoot we should vote for more gun control, after all, that guy had QUITE an arsenal!!
Idiots.
Another year of statistics is in the books for the Prius. Nothing much out of the ordinary from previous posts, except it's interesting seeing how quickly the price of gas fell and I didn't have any fillups during the month of September.
The table has a bunch of statistics for the life of the car and then shows the trend over the last 90, 180, and 365 days. Savings comparisons are approximate (I'm calculating based on averages and I'm not sure it's accurate). Pretty charts are below.

I finally got my act together and started listing things for sale on my Etsy shop. You can find me there as DesignTime. At the moment there are a few ceramic clocks, but some day I plan to include woodworking projects. I've got some ideas for cutting boards, trivets, and more clocks. Enjoy! (and spread the word)
Just revisiting a video I made using Animoto about 15 months ago... some of our honeymoon photos from 1996.
Just trying to figure out the best approach to get this map showing all photos tagged & mapped for the December theme contest "Holidays Around the World". This seems to be okay.
